Cut fish into 6 to 8 inch pieces. Line them in a baking pan that is at least 2 inches deep. In a bowl mix bread crumbs, garlic, spices, and 1/4 cup of olive oil, set aside. Lay shrimp on top of each piece of fish. Spread breadcrumb mixture over fish. Add sliced almonds on top of each piece of fish. In a seperate bowl, mix wine, lemon juice, butter and the rest of the olive oil and pour around fish, reserving a little for the top and drizzle butter sauce over almonds.
Bake at 350 until almonds are browned and fish flakes with fork..around 35 to 45 minutes
That looks wonderful Claudia, and I love that this doesn't have too many ingredients. Plus, it has almonds and shrimps - two things I really love! I think this would make a lovely dinner even for company, though it's a quick and easy recipe. Thanks for posting : )
I made this dish for Sunday's dinner. I cut everything in half and still had enough to share with some friends. The taste and texture is wonderful! And I did use the Chablis that you recommended.
Another one of your fantastic recipes! I bet the juices from this are heavenly with crusty bread dipped in them. By the way, thanks for the heads up on this site. It looks very interesting in here, so many things to look at. I can't wait till I have some free time this weekend to really take a close look around the place and maybe put a post up.
